It's Friday!

Can you believe that the week is over? Room 5 has had a fabulous week in Grade 1. Ms. Cokar is so proud of all the students who are showing that they are excited to learn.

Today in music we played with instruments again and learned about "ta - tee - tee - ta - rest!" Ask me what that means. In gym it was Fitness Friday. We needed a lot of energy to run around.

We talked about another Pillar of Care which is Care for Others. Please see the chart here:

Ms. Cokar read a very funny story called "A Book with No Pictures". We laughed so much as we used our imagination. We also practiced Read to Self. We sat in one spot and read the whole time! Our record is 34 seconds! Isn't that amazing?

Please remember to bring back the brown paper bag full of things for us to create our Alphabet art.

Have an amazing weekend and see you all on Monday!

Ms. Cokar

  1. What a wonderful start to the year! Max has left school with a big smile everyday, when I ask him how is day was he says "Great" when I ask him what he learned he tells me he can't remember. This will be a fantastic way to find out what they are doing in class, thank you for the time and energy that goes into keeping us parents informed!

    1. You are very welcome! The students liked seeing the blog post being created in front of their eyes, and gave their suggestions on what to type.

I have in mind an idea which will hopefully result in less "I forget" responses...

    1. Yay, and you're welcome! Thank you for the reminder about book orders; I just posted a quick blog. If I can have them back by Friday, September 16 that would be appreciated.
