Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Hello,

Unless otherwise noted, recess will be outdoors this week. It is important for children to be dressed for the weather. During my supervision at recess and lunch I noticed many children (in all grades) wearing only t-shirts. A couple of students, who were at least wearing sweaters with hoodies, said to me, "I'm just going to stay inside." Unfortunately, that is not possible. I have chatted with our class about clothing and shoes for our lovely fall weather.

Sometimes I like to rest my voice, so a student was able to sit in the rocking chair and "read the pictures" which is one of the three ways to read a book. When he finished, I read the words and then we had an opportunity to retell the story.

Patterns were explored again today. We had examples of patterns like AB and more complicated ones like ABB and ABC. The students did a great job.

In Music, a new song was practiced called "How do you do?" with Ms. Laird.

Please check Home Folders as there are many newsletters and important information!

Thank you!

J A smiling face as requested by Room 5 students.
