June 19

Good afternoon!

Welcome back to the last couple of weeks of learning. It is National Aboriginal Day on Wednesday and Room 5 has started to create animals out of clay. I called clay "nature's Play Dough"! The animals are ones that are important to the First Nations people of Canada, and are sometimes referred to as Spirit Animals. Most are local to North America, although some students pointed out that there are owls and snakes in other parts of the world. Very true! Can you tell what animals we made?

There are still some outstanding library books which need to be returned ASAP.

Zoo field trip permission forms were due today. More information will be communicated prior to Friday.

Important Dates:

June 19: Zoo field trip forms and payment due
June 20: Pillars of Care assembly at 1:00
June 21: Aboriginal Day
June 23: ZOO!!!
June 28: Last Day of School
June 28: Farewell Assembly at 9:30

Ms. Cokar
