June 15

Good afternoon!

Yesterday and today students worked on Dream Catchers. Many already knew the history behind Dream Catchers, and some even shared that they have one in their bedrooms. Leara shared that she has one hanging in her car, and she calls it a Day Dreamer. Below are photos of most of the process involved in creating one. Thank you to Ms. Jen for helping us out.

Scissors ready!
Cutting out the middle.

Vincent had a great idea of using his scissors to make a bigger hole before cutting out the middle.

John cut out an almost perfect circle. Amazing!

Decorating with markers.

Matty wanted to add some Aboriginal art. Great idea!

Rainbow Dream Catcher!

String for making the web.

And here are some more from today!

I wish there was a way to insert a drum roll! Here is our mystery animal! It was an animal that was not previously named as a guess. It has a horse body, tail and legs. Fur or fleece like sheep, a giraffe neck, and a camel face. Do you know what it is? A llama!

As a reminder, tomorrow is Early Dismissal at 11:00. Also, the Volunteer Tea begins at 9:00. Library books were due on Wednesday and we have a number of outstanding books signed out to students!

Have a great evening!

Ms. Cokar
