Good afternoon,
Today was a busy day with a couple of special presentations. After gym, which was held in Room 3/4, we had special visitors from the University of Calgary. These special visitors are students who are going to be doctors in the future. They spoke to us about healthy eating. We learned about healthy and unhealthy foods. Did you know that eating an orange is better than drinking orange juice? Can you guess how much sugar is in a slice of white bread? I think someone in your house will know the answer to this question.
In the afternoon, the whole school was able to watch a dress rehearsal and preview tonight's concert. The Kindergarten, Grade 4, 5, and 6 students performed a number of songs. We invite you all to come tonight; doors open at 6:00 and the concert begins at 6:30.
*** PLEASE NOTE *** Our concert is tomorrow, which is Thursday. Students have been asked to wear something specific (they know what it is and I think it is supposed to be a surprise) for the evening for their performance. If they don't have that something specific, please have them wear red, blue, black. You'll figure it out once they start singing!
