Spring Carnival Tonight!

Good afternoon,

I hope you are coming to the Spring Carnival tonight, from 6:00 to 8:00.

My class has decided they are mathematicians and are eagerly working on number sentences. Ask your son or daughter for an example. Do you know what sum and difference means? Which one is for addition and which is for subtraction?

Students wrote thank you letters to the Calgary Fire Department and shared what they learned, and a few even asked questions such as "Where is Flint now?" and "How heavy is your uniform?"

Our class thought of "needs" of plants and animals. Before doing so, we discussed needs of humans and making sure they were not "wants". For example, we need food but want cheesecake (okay, that's Ms. Cokar talking). After listing a few ideas under plants and animals, students noticed a couple commonalities, like food and water. After this, we headed outside briefly to look for signs of birds and their shelters, but it started to sprinkle!

Tomorrow afternoon is Teacher's Pet in-class field trip! Forms MUST be returned in order to participate!!!
